About

Miriam is a yoga teacher + embodiment facilitator with a focus on women's health during the young adult and mothering years

She is currently a student of international yoga therapist Uma Dinsmore-Tuli (yoga for women), and has trained as a postpartum doula, specializing in yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda, as an approach to women’s wellness after birth.

She draws upon her knowledge and experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Yoga anatomy teacher for the 200-hour classical hatha yoga teacher training held at Schoolcraft Community College.

Unschooled in Intentional Community & Embodiment

Miriam was "unschooled" during 3 of her college-age years, and interned, apprenticed, and volunteered at a number of social change + embodiment non-profit organizations, intentional communities, and businesses in over 5 states and two countries.

This global learning journey deepened her passion for self-led learning, using joy and play to heal, and rites of passage for young people.

Miriam loves to share simple song meditations, and connect outside around a campfire.  She is a mama of one amazing little girl, and married to a Yoga Nerd.

What kind of Yoga and Dance do I teach?

My classes draw from classical hatha yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra,  yoga for your ayurvedic body-type and yoga during the phases of your menstrual cycle (womb yoga). (200-hour teacher-training in 2017)

I teach simple English chants, and Sanskrit mantras and encourage you to sing, hum, or listen with devotion.
